Prunus armeniaca
Features
Divinity Apricot is a variety of Apricot which has been available in Australia for many years. PlantNet® now makes it available as a dwarf variety of Apricot.
It is well known for its orange skin which has a tinge of red to yellow over parts of the skin. It has a light orange flesh and harvests in late December to early January. The fruit is firm and slightly oval in shape.
Medium to high chilling means it can be grown in most temperate regions of Australia. It is a versatile variety and is ideal for canning or preserving as well as eating fresh.
This variety is self-fruitful which means it does not require pollination from another Apricot variety and is a moderately productive variety which means it will require staking. A low maintenance tree for confined spaces because of the dwarfing tree size.
Uses
- Ideal for growing in pots or tubs on the patio or great for small sized gardens.
- Ideal for teaching kids how to look after their own fruit trees.
