Pineapple Quince

Description

Pale yellow fruit with white flesh with a slight pineapple flavour and aroma. Not generally eaten fresh, but when stewed it becomes soft and tender with a pink colouring. Ideal for Quince jelly and preserves. Profuse ornamental rose-pink blossoms adorn the tree in spring. Plant in a sunny position away from winds. Suitable in temperate climates.

Tree Care

Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
