Red Currant

Description

Small bright red fruit hangs in clusters from a small growing bush. Very high in Vitamin C with a tart taste the fruit is used in juices, preserves and jellies, as, well as eaten fresh.

Self fertile, however, sometimes, an improved crop can be experienced when another variety is planted nearby. 

Tree Care

Plant in a well drained end weft worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
